RNHACO’s Position regarding:
1. Securing America’s Borders
RNHA believes all of America’s borders must be secured and protected by the best means possible, as soon as possible.
2. Immigration
RNHA recognizes the fact that the America we enjoy today was built on the backs of immigrants. American will continue to need immigrants to strength and maintain its diverse and strong economic and cultural base.
3. Illegal immigration
Illegal immigration must be brought under control as soon as possible. The RNHA believes strongly that America is a nation of laws for the good of all people and as such laws must be enforced.
4. Deportation
RNHA does not believe in total deportation activities for all illegal immigrants. It is not a realistic approach and too costly a process.
5. Treatment of Illegal Immigrants
RNHA believes that all men, women and children, regardless of ethnicity, should be treated with respect and compassion, regardless of status.
6. English Only Requirements
RNHA acknowledges the tremendous contribution that immigrants in general, and Hispanic immigrants in particular have made to the cultural diversity of America. That diversity includes the use of various foreign languages, including the Spanish language. RNHA believes that there should be no restriction on the use any foreign or cultural language in a personal, cultural, religious or community environmental setting. However, RNHA also acknowledges that the English language is in fact the accepted norm in the business, political and educational world. As such RNHA encourages programs that will allow all immigrants to become bi-lingually proficient as quickly as possible in order understand and enjoy all the benefits that America has to offer it citizens.
7. Amnesty Issues
RNHA does not support blanket amnesty for anyone regardless of origin.
8. Access to Social Programs
RNHA believes that all people, regardless of race, color, creed or origin have a right to good medical care during an emergency. Daily health care should be addressed under a separate program. RNHA also believes, understands and accepts the fact that “access for every child, to an excellent education, is a foundation of a free, civil society”, therefore RNHA support any program that will increase the
9. American Citizenship
RNHA believes that Citizenship in America is one of our most highly valued prizes in the world today. As a result it should be equally available to anyone and everyone who wishes to pursue it legally. RNHA also believes that the process to obtain Citizenship needs to be controlled and streamlined to reduce the time required to obtain this great gift. Once obtained that citizen has every right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
10. The American Flag
The American Flag represents the tremendous price that has been paid by millions of brave men and women in our military, to insure America’s freedom and way of life. As such, RNHA believes that the American flag is the only flag to which America’s residents and citizens should pledge allegiance to.
11. Racism
RNHA believes, understands and accepts the fact that not everyone who has a different opinion regarding the items listed above is necessarily a racist. RNHA believes that there is room for a diversity of opinions and open dialogue, in the quest for truth.
12. Education
RNHA believes, understands and accepts the fact that the foundation of a free and civil society is the provision of and access to an excellent education for every child. As a result RNHA supports those programs that can curb or seriously reduce the rising drop out rate among the Hispanic communities, while promoting diversity.
13. Economic Opportunities
RNHA believes strongly that all American citizens have the right and responsibility to pursue their dreams and to be all that they can be. Toward that end RNHA supports fair and free trade, low taxes and limited regulations, along with the provision of those empowerment programs that promote self-sufficiency and self-determination.
14. Strong Families and Social Values
RNHA believes that America is built on the establishment of strong families and implementation of fair and honest moral values, including a belief in God, the sanctity of life and the 10 Commandments for everyday life.
