KLVZ 810 AM "El Camino" is the oldest Spanish language Christian radio station in Colorado with over 9 years of serving the Latin community. They have an adult audience between the ages of 24 and 62. KLVZ programming includes a mixed format of music and talk. Their various talk segments are carefully arranged so that a secular program is followed by a program with biblical principals.
KLVZ recently switched to a more powerful frequency 810 am from 1220 am. They took advantage of the switch and underwent a format change in order to have music and talk that focused on community issues verses religious talk all the time. In the last six months they have changed over 30% of their programming and are adding new community focused programs every month. Their vision for the station is for a Latin mix of NPR and KLove which is unique to the Denver Market.
The first show is scheduled to be aired on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at 11:00a.m. hosted by Maddie Elena.
